Achieving this result in a time of considerable and continued pressure in general practice, and across the wider system, can only be a testament to your staff’s dedication and commitment to delivering continuous quality improvement and performance for your patients.
We would very much like to spread learning and best practice more widely so, to that end, we would ask you to take some time to consider what work you have done in the background to deliver this level of improvement and email us at nhsnwl.localservices@nhs.net. If you can provide us with some key bullet points by 30 August 2025, the ICB will undertake to share any excellent work and innovative approaches taken, with a view to supporting peer learning across NW London.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your continued contribution to the health and wellbeing of the patients in NW London. We look forward to supporting you as you continue to retain and build on your success.
Yours sincerely,
Executive Director of Primary Care,
NHS North West London ICB Dr Genevieve Small

“We are committed to ensuring patients can access the care they need in a timely and convenient way. Our practice is working as part of a wider network to improve how we manage same-day and routine requests, aiming to make it easier for patients to get the right help, first time. We are also focusing on enhancing continuity of care, so patients with ongoing or complex needs can build stronger relationships with the clinicians who know them best.
Our access approach includes a mix of telephone, online, and face-to-face contact, depending on what’s most suitable. We are also improving our digital services, such as online consultation tools and the NHS App, while continuing to offer support for patients who prefer or need non-digital routes. We are listening to patient feedback throughout the year and using it to shape how we deliver care that is fair, responsive, and easy to navigate.”

Travel Vaccination Appointments
Planning to travel? Ensure you're protected!
To receive full protection from travel vaccines, appointments must be booked at least 6 weeks before your departure date. This allows enough time for the vaccines to take full effect and provide optimal immunity.
Booking in advance is essential, as last-minute appointments may not be available, and some vaccines require multiple doses over several weeks.
To schedule your travel vaccine appointment, please contact us as soon as your travel plans are confirmed.
Stay safe and travel with confidence
